I have a proven track record of creating content that fosters meaningful engagement and resonates with diverse audiences. Through a mix of eye-catching visuals, thoughtful captions, and strategic posting. I’ve driven a significant online presence for my artist brand and shop, achieving over 45K impressions and engaging with thousands of unique accounts.
These selected analytics indicate strong engagement with my posts, evidenced by likes, comments, and shares. This reflects my ability to not only create content that resonates with my audience, but also keep them interested and encourages interaction.
High reach and impressions metrics show that my content effectively penetrates my target audience and beyond. These metrics highlight my proficiency in optimizing posts for maximum visibility, whether through timing, hashtags, or compelling visuals that attract viewers.
As a member of the black woman art collective Lemonade in the Garden, I curated social media content that showcased black representation in arts and culture, with a focus on uplifting underrepresented black artists. My role included crafting engaging Instagram posts, contributing to our collective’s quarterly zine, and curating The Identity Issue, an online gallery dedicated to exploring the nuances of identity in the art world. Through these efforts, I helped build a platform that uplifts the voices and stories of black artists.
Lemonade in the Garden: Celebrating Black Voices in Art
For our summertime Instagram assets, I created vibrant designs inspired by groovy flower power and playful fruit motifs that tie back to our collective’s “lemonade” theme. These visuals brought a fresh, summery feel to our feed, blending retro aesthetics with the warmth and energy of the season.
In these selected Instagram posts, I explored essential topics such as black representation in film and culture as well as highlighting black artists. In 2020 Lemonade in the Garden launched a social media campaign as ambassadors for the Black Women Animate Bootcamp, where I shared my enriching experience in the program as well as promoting their first remote bootcamp.
The Identity Issue
Curated by me for Lemonade in the Garden, The Identity Issue is an online gallery exhibition that invited black women, femmes, and gender non-conforming individuals to explore and express what identity means to them. This open call welcomed all mediums, creating a dynamic, multi-faceted collection that celebrates individual stories, perspectives, and creative expressions.
For the NYC-based art collective Gal Pals, I crafted a social media mockup inspired by Y2K and early internet aesthetics. This 'digital magazine' serves as a vibrant, safe space where artists can find resources on building a creative business and navigating the complexities of life online. Beyond business, Gal Pals sparks essential conversations around burnout, imposter syndrome, and self-care in the creative world.
